Hobart and William Smith Colleges

Program Cost

Tuition for the on-campus program this year is $4,300. This covers tuition, room and board.

Accepted students pay a $500 deposit within one week of acceptance to reserve a place in the Institute. The remaining $3,800 is due by June 15.

Paying by Check

If the parent or guardian’s last name is different from the student’s, include the student’s name at the bottom of the check. We can’t accept checks from banks outside the United States.

Paying Online by Bank Transfer or Debit/Credit Card

You’ll need your nine-digit enrollment ID to log in. We email it to you once your application is accepted. For a bank transfer you’ll also need your bank’s name, the account type (checking or savings) and your routing and account numbers. For a checking account, these are printed on your checks.

Paying by Wire Transfer

Paying in Person

Cash payments can be made at the office in Merritt Hall on the Hobart and William Smith campus. Please call or email before you come.

College Credit

Students who complete the program earn one HWS course credit, equal to four semester hours or credit hours at other institutions.

At the end of the program you’ll receive a credit report and a certificate of completion. To transfer the credit to another college or university, request an official transcript from the HWS Office of the Registrar. Each college and university sets its own policy on transfer credit.
