Daily Airport & AMtrak Transportation ServiceS

Ourbus offers tickets to Rochester (ROC) and Buffalo (BUF) airports daily. Syracuse (SYR) buses are offered around HWS breaks. Buses pick up at the downtown Geneva bus stop (approximately 1 mile from campus on Exchange St.). 

Both the Rochester Amtrak (ROC) and Syracuse Amtrak (SYR) stations offer additional travel options for students. We suggest connecting daily bus transportation with the train schedule. Rideshare is available at airports to Amtrak stations.

Airport/Amtrak service is also provided by Finger Lakes Limo Service; contact Finger Lakes Limo directly at 315-789-7272 for times and rates.

Daily Bus Transportation

Ourbus also offers a daily bus in each bus route direction. Pricing is dynamic and stops are subject to change, but in most cases covers the following locations:

• New York
• Fort Lee, NJ
• Gouldsboro, PA
• Binghamton
• Ithaca
• Geneva
• Rochester Airport
• Buffalo Airport
• Buffalo (bus stop near SUNY Buffalo)
• Niagara Falls

Break Transportation Options

Break Airport, Amtrak, & Greyhound Bus Shuttles

For all major breaks: Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring breaks, we offer a FREE shuttle service from HWS to both the Syracuse and Rochester airports and Amtrak/Greyhound stations at designated times.

Because space is limited, completion of your request is not a guarantee of transportation. You will receive confirmation via your HWS email. 

Drop-offs and pick-ups are on a set schedule. If flights, trains, or buses are delayed or cancelled and you can't meet the shuttle at the designated time, the student is responsible for transportation back to campus.

Break Bus Information

The Office of Student Activities & Greek Life coordinates large coach buses through Ourbus for students to utilize for specific college-related breaks to the New York City, New Jersey, and Massachusetts areas. These routes run with preset departure and arrival times.

There are 2 routes:

• Geneva
• Syracuse
• Albany
• Ludlow, MA
• Worcester
• Newton
• Boston

And

• Geneva
• Gouldsboro, PA
• Rockaway, NJ
• Little Falls, NJ
• Manhattan
• Brooklyn

Students purchase tickets from Ourbus. Buses pick-up and drop off in the Medbery Parking lot near Campus Safety.

• Select the departure date for the location you’re going to. Be sure to select the HWS pickup location (Medbery lot)

Passengers may bring 1 suitcase (up to 50 lbs) and 1 handbag to go on the traveler's lap. For extra luggage, purchase an add-on while booking to bring an additional suitcase for a small fee.
