Raymond W. Van Giesen '31

Former Superintendent of the Fayetteville/ Manlius school system

Raymond W. Van Giesen dedicated 50 years to the pursuit of excellence in secondary education. Starting as a teacher, he became vice-principal, principal, and then superintendent of the Fayetteville/Manlius school system, where he was instrumental in the centralization of the district and in construction of a centralized high school. As a leader in the community, he has been prominent in numerous organizations and is a very active Hobart alumnus.
